In October 2001, our then two year-old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, the most common form of childhood cancer. Thankfully, after three long and difficult years of chemotherapy treatment, we are happy to say that Gianluca is doing well.
We officially established The Vita Children’s Foundation in October 2002, one year after having to witness first-hand what children afflicted with cancer have to endure for a chance at life. Inspired by their courage and bravery, we decided that we needed to do our part to help them in their battle against this terrible disease.
